Jewelry Care
Your DUEROS Jewelry was created to meet the highest standards of quality materials. To ensure your piece maintains its beauty, follow the following care instructions.
Sterling silver
Gently clean your jewelry with a polishing cloth to maintain its shine.
Try not to wear your jewelry in the shower or pool, as chemicals such as chlorine can tarnish them.
Dry your jewelry after exposure to water: Moisture can cause tarnishing and can weaken springs, clasps and chains.
Avoid contact with perfume, body lotion or soaps you may have applied.
Generally avoid exposure to harsh chemicals such as household products.
18K Gold Plated
Avoid exposure to water so that the coating lasts as long as possible.
Avoid showering or washing your hands with your jewelry on. The chemicals in soap can be corrosive to the coating.
Avoid grinding on hard surfaces as this will scratch the coating.
Clean with a microfiber cloth or 100% cotton fabric.
18K Gold
Gold is naturally tarnish-resistant, but it can lose its luster over time. To maintain its shine, routinely clean your jewelry with a polishing cloth.
To clean your jewelry, soak it in warm water with a little diluted dish soap and use a soft-bristled toothbrush to remove any dirt.
After cleaning, make sure items are dry by patting them with paper towels.
Please do not use abrasive cleaning products. Some homemade jewelry cleaners, steamers, or ultrasonic machines can also do more harm than good.
Stainless steel
It won't rust, stain or discolor if wet, so there's no need to take it off when showering or washing your hands.
Avoid sanding on hard surfaces as this will scratch the coating.
Clean with a microfiber cloth or 100% cotton fabric.
